Water Sampling & Monitoring

Water Sampling & Monitoring

Ongoing monitoring programmes that keep you compliant and your occupants safe

Compliance doesn't end with a risk assessment. HSE guidance is clear: duty holders must implement an ongoing monitoring programme to verify that control measures are working effectively. That means regular temperature checks, periodic Legionella sampling, and systematic record-keeping.

Same Water delivers tailored monitoring programmes that match your building's risk profile. Whether you need monthly temperature rounds, quarterly Legionella sampling, or a combination of both, we design a schedule that meets your legal obligations without unnecessary visits or costs.

All our water samples are analysed by UKAS-accredited laboratories, ensuring results that are legally defensible and scientifically robust. We don't just hand you numbers — we interpret the results, identify trends, and tell you what action (if any) is needed.

What's Included

Temperature Monitoring

Monthly checks at sentinel and representative outlets. Hot water should be delivered at 50°C+ within one minute. Cold water should be below 20°C

Legionella Sampling

Water samples collected from high-risk outlets and analysed for Legionella bacteria by a UKAS-accredited laboratory. Results typically within 10 working days.

TVC (Total Viable Count) Testing

General microbiological testing that indicates overall water quality and system cleanliness.

Trend Analysis and Reporting

We don't just report individual results — we track trends over time so you can spot emerging issues before they become problems.

Non-Compliance Alerts

If a result falls outside safe parameters, we notify you immediately with clear guidance on next steps.

Compliance Records

Full documentation suitable for audits, HSE inspections, and client reporting.

Why It Matters

A risk assessment identifies what could go wrong. Monitoring verifies that your controls are actually working. Without regular sampling and temperature checks, you're relying on hope rather than evidence — and hope isn't a compliance strategy. Regular monitoring also creates a documented trail of due diligence that protects you if questions are ever asked.
