About Same Water
Specialist water consultancy and Legionella compliance since 2013
Same Water Ltd was founded in 2013 by Darragh Durkan, a WQA Certified Water Specialist who saw a gap in the market for water compliance services that actually put the client first. Too many property managers and building owners were receiving generic risk assessments, confusing jargon-heavy reports, and one-size-fits-all recommendations. Darragh believed there was a better way.
Starting with a handful of residential blocks in London, Same Water quickly built a reputation for thoroughness, clear communication, and genuine expertise. Word spread. Managing agents recommended us to their peers. Facilities managers brought us into their wider portfolios. Within a few years, we'd grown from a one-man operation into a team of specialist engineers and consultants serving hundreds of properties across London and the South East.
Today, Same Water operates across two connected disciplines. Our Legionella compliance division handles everything from risk assessments and water sampling through to tank cleaning, remedial plumbing works, and calorifier inspections — the full operational suite. Our water consultancy division tackles the more complex, specialist challenges: designing water systems for new builds and refurbishments, diagnosing persistent contamination issues that other contractors can't solve, and providing independent expert witness evidence for disputes and legal proceedings.
What hasn't changed since 2013 is our approach. We explain things in plain English. We give you honest recommendations — not upsells. And we make compliance feel manageable, not overwhelming. Every report we write, every system we design, and every assessment we deliver is built on the same principle: do the right thing for the building and the people in it.
Darragh founded Same Water in 2013 with a simple mission: make water compliance straightforward and genuinely helpful. With over 13 years of hands-on experience across residential,
commercial, and healthcare sectors, Darragh brings deep technical knowledge and a practical, no-nonsense approach to every project. As a WQA Certified Water Specialist — one of a select group in the UK — he leads our consultancy work, handling complex system design, forensic diagnostics, and expert witness cases. When he's not on site or in a plant room, he's usually reviewing L8 reports or designing water systems that work the way they should.
Thomas keeps Same Water running like clockwork. He manages our scheduling, client communications, and operational logistics — making sure every site visit, every report, and every follow-up happens on time and to standard. Working closely with our engineers and directly with clients, Thomas is often the first point of contact for new enquiries and the person who ensures no detail falls through the cracks. His operational expertise means our clients get a reliable, well-organised service every single time.
