Remedial Plumbing Works

Fixing the compliance issues that risk assessments uncover

A Legionella risk assessment will often identify physical issues with a building's water system that need fixing — dead legs, poorly configured pipework, failing TMVs, or undersized storage. These aren't cosmetic issues. They're the conditions that allow bacteria to thrive, and leaving them unresolved undermines your entire compliance programme.

Same Water carries out specialist remedial plumbing works to address the recommendations that come out of risk assessments. We're not general plumbers — we understand water hygiene, L8 compliance, and the specific requirements of building water systems. That means every modification we make is designed to improve compliance, not just fix a pipe.

What's Included

Dead Leg Removal

Redundant pipework that holds stagnant water is one of the most common Legionella risk factors. We identify and remove dead legs to eliminate stagnation points.

TMV Servicing and Replacement

Thermostatic mixing valves require regular servicing under TMV scheme guidelines. We service, test, and replace TMVs to ensure they're functioning correctly.

Pipework Modifications

Re-routing pipework, adding isolation valves, improving circulation, and addressing design flaws identified in risk assessments.

Tank Upgrades

Replacing non-compliant tanks, improving lid seals, adding insulation, and upgrading tank installations to meet current standards.

Sentinel Point Installation

Adding temperature monitoring points at the correct locations to support your ongoing monitoring programme.

Documentation

Full records of all work completed, including before/after photos and updated schematics where relevant.
